Another IBC has come and gone, and 2025 was one for the books. This year’s show was packed with innovation, big announcements, and unforgettable moments that made it truly special for the Cuez team.
Presenting the AI Agents for Live Production
One of our proudest moments was stepping on stage to present the IBC Accelerator Project: AI Assistance Agents for Live Production.
This project has been years in the making, starting with our industry-shaping collaborations in 2023 and 2024, and culminating in a full live demo at IBC2025. Together with our partners — including Google, BBC, ITN, EVS, Moments Lab, Monks, Shure, CuePilot, NBCUniversal, HighField AI, Amira Labs and more — we showed the world what AI can do inside the control room.
On stage, the agents weren’t just concepts. They delivered. From finding the right clip in seconds to blurring faces instantly, the demo proved that AI can take on the routine, giving humans the freedom to focus on creativity, decision-making, and storytelling.
At Cuez, we contributed two core developments:
- Rundown Agent, making rundowns interactive with natural spoken language.
- Automator Agent, connecting AI tools to gallery devices for smarter, smoother control.
The result was a glimpse into the future of live production — where AI isn’t a threat to creativity, but a trusted teammate in the gallery. Watch the official presentation here.
Launching New Automator: Connecting Legacy and Future via MOS
IBC2025 was also the stage for a major launch: the new Cuez Automator, now able to work with any NRCS through MOS — even the old-school legacy systems. This breakthrough means broadcasters can connect tools like iNEWS to vMix or ENPS to OBS, bridging the gap between traditional newsroom setups and modern production platforms.
By bringing API-level control to legacy environments, MOS-tomator makes workflows more flexible and future-ready, allowing teams to keep the systems they know while gaining the speed, consistency, and automation of today’s technology. We gave live demos throughout the show, and the response was incredible — clear proof that the industry is ready for a world where modern automation speaks fluently with legacy newsroom systems.
Connecting with People
Of course, IBC isn’t only about technology. It’s also about people.
We had an amazing time catching up with old friends, meeting new ones, and sharing plenty of ideas — as well as a few Belgian beers at the booth every night. It was also a joy to welcome our integration partners, like vMix and CuePilot, and celebrate the collaborations that continue to push broadcast innovation forward.
These personal connections are what make IBC so unique: the mix of hard tech, big ideas, and genuine community spirit.
Looking Ahead to IBC2026
To everyone who stopped by our booth, joined a demo, or just shared a chat over coffee (or a beer), thank you. You made this IBC another unforgettable one for the Cuez team.
We leave Amsterdam inspired by the partnerships, the innovation, and the memories we’ve made — and ready to carry that energy forward.
Until next year, Amsterdam. We can’t wait to be back.
